FIU School of Hospitality
Befitting its inclusion in the Forbes magazine "America's Top Colleges List" and top five ranking degree programs in the nation, the Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management set about to renovate its hospitality facility. Quarter-sawn Walnut Veneer wall paneling and ceiling panels were chosen to create an elegant ambience in the dining areas. The metal allusion-paneled bar is complemented by a 30 ft tall tile, wood, and metal back bar and feature wall. The centerpiece of the dining area is the circular Wine Room. The very complex walls are constructed of quarter-sawn walnut posts and acrylic panels with imbedded silver thread. The mullions are all helixes, meaning they are curves on a curve. Detailed engineering, precise milling, and impeccable assembly resulted in a flawless installation.
