THE STANDARD AT CORAL GABLES Students attending a great university deserve living in a great community — off-campus housing at The Standard at Coral Gables is now complete and ready for move-in!
This impressive sculptural wall at the Alina Residences Boca Raton consists of individual undulating horizontal slats. Each of the 2,109 pieces of the wall sculpture was individually drawn, manufactured, and installed making this whole sculpture unique. When the project was complete, a total of 11 miles of veneer edge banding (applied by hand) and 700+ sheets of material were used. Great job Curtis Kunard for leading this remarkable project!

Another great project with MOSS Construction, John Knox Village is an internationally award-winning Life Plan Retirement Community. Construction has already begun on phase 1 of this 2 phase project which will consist of a 37,117 square-foot first-level Pavilion featuring a Performing Arts Center for seating of 350+, pre and post-event gallery space, 2 restaurants, and the Nautilus Bar in between the two. The Pavilion will also include a lakefront promenade and gathering spaces.
The second phase is anticipated to start in the first quarter of 2022. The 471,396 square-foot project will include two podium style towers with 150 independent-living residences, a 153-spot parking garage, several dining establishments, a wine bar, high-tech projection theater, technology hub, business center, fitness studio, workspaces, art studio, a Sacred space, club room, new resident lounges, a virtual reality studio, garden, and outdoor lakeside seating and gathering spots.

Sebastien DesMarais begins his 2021 term as AWI-Architectural Woodwork Institute’s 66th President! Our own Yves DesMarais was the 40th AWI President. Hollywood Woodwork can be very proud not only of our 52 years in the Architectural Woodwork Industry but of now having two AWI Presidents amongst our ranks. An unprecedented combination of longevity and leadership!
