As the end of summer approaches so does our summer internship program! Christian Dominguez, Nathan Patterson, Kurt Mcdonough and Curtis Kunard from Pittsburg State University have been great assets this summer at Hollywood Woodwork. All were enrolled in PSU’s Architectural Manufacturing Management & Technology program which has a comprehensive curriculum that uses a unique “hands-on” approach to learning designed to provide graduates with a broad base of technical knowledge and skills. Much of the coursework is production based and blends classroom theory with real-world product and process engineering problems. This program is one of the top wood processing programs in the United States. Pittsburg State University is a national leader in the preparation of students for rewarding managerial careers in the secondary wood products industry. Christian interned with our Engineering Team and is returning to PSU to begin his senior year in the AMMT program pursuing his career goal of Engineering and Drafting. Nathan focused his short time here with our Project Management Team and spent the remainder of his summer in an Army Training Camp and is now returning to PSU. Kurt interned with our Sales and Estimating Team and spent time on the production floor learning our processes and identifying opportunities for improvements and he also is returning to PSU. Curtis interned in Engineering and is now the newest member of Hollywood Woodwork, joining our Engineering Team full time. Good luck Christian, Nathan, Kurt and congratulations Curtis!
