The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Spa Botanico

The Ritz-Carlton Reserve Spa Botanico

Currently one of only two in the world, The Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico is a secluded sanctuary that blends masterfully into the natural surroundings. The Spa Botanico takes the visitor even further into a sense of timelessness. The challenge for Hollywood Woodwork was to capture that sense of timelessness with the wood used throughout the Spa.

The entrance to the spa, the Apothecary Portal building, is filled with the scents of dried herbs and flowers. Wood Shelving and the beamed ceiling are distressed Andiroba Mahognay with a dull rubbed finish, blended to complement the aged stone walls and floor. The centerpiece of the Portal is a custom aged apothecary table, made from plain sawn, distressed Andiroba Mahogany, with a dull rubbed finish.

The exotic Andiroba is a natural element that anchors the spa design. It is used throughout the spa locations, giving visual continuity.
